Power of Pasco Sprint Tri - Teams

This is the Fourth Event in the MultiSport Series - August 5, 2017

Format: 1/2 mile swim; 20 km road bike; 3 mile run

Course Description: The race starts with a brisk 1/2 mile swim in the Columbia River along the length of Chiawana Park in Pasco.

From the park we bike a total of 20 km on the roads as follows: head upstream on Court Street and through the Harris' farm (Say hi to the pigs, "oink, oink" and watch out for the chickens.), left on Harris Rd, which bends to the right to become Shoreline Dr, which takes a 90 degree right turn to become Burns Rd, up the little hill and take a left on Dent Rd, through the housing development, and back the way you came.

The 3 mile run is along the foot paths heading north (upstream) from the park, to a turnaround on Court St, and back to the finish in the park.

Fees:
• Race - $35 per team
• Race plus 1 One Day License - $50
• Race plus 2 One Day Licenses - $65
• Race plus 3 One Day Licenses - $80

(As a sanctioned USA Triathlon (USAT) event, all participants are required to have a USAT license. If you are not a card carrying member a One Day License must be purchased for $15. The first registration question asks how many One Day Licenses your team requires. Any team mate who is a current USAT member will not need to purchase a One Day License. If team members are not USAT members you will need 3 One Day Licenses ($15*3=$45). If one is a USAT member you will need 2 One Day Licenses ($30). Any team member(s) with USAT Number(s) should enter them where prompted.)

Athlete limit for this event is 35 teams.Please note: Mail-in registration is not available...you may register on-line ONLY - NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION

On Line Registration Deadline: To be pre-registered for The Power of Pasco Sprint Triathlon and get the tech-fabric shirt, you must enter by July 27th at 8:00 pm.  A late fee of $10 will apply after this date.  Registration ends on August 1st, or earlier if  the particpant limit is reached. Race day registration will NOT be available.

ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS: We sympathize with life's uncertainties but there are no refunds. Entries are not transferrable to another race or to the team competition. Please, please, please plan accordingly.

PLEASE PAY WITH CREDIT CARD. TRANSACTION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN ENTERED. ANY REGISTRATION WITHOUT PAYMENT WILL NOT BE VALID.

Chip Timing: Disposable timing chips will be used to record split and finish times. Timing chips will be distributed race morning at check-in.  For more info on this chip timing, go to www.nomadzracing.com .

Clothing Option: Another Cool Clothing Option.  Short-sleeved tech fabric shirts will be available for an additional $18.  If you want one of these shirts you should pre-register, as only a limited number will be for sale on race day.

Race Day Schedule: On race day, arrive early and be prepared for the following:
• 6:30 am – Packet pickup starts
• 8:00 am – Mandatory pre-race meeting
• 8:30 am – Race start
• 11:00am – Course closes

Special Considerations: Please note the following:
• Road bikes recommended, Mountain bikes acceptable
• Maximum of 3 people per team

Mini-Tutorial on Registration: To help you through the process, here is a quick tutorial:

  • Start at the top of Event Registration with the orange-highlighted box entitled “Choose an Option.”  Go to the drop-down list and choose which option (race only, clothing option, one-day license) you want.  The specific cost that will be charged to your credit card is also listed.
  • The next box down is the clothing option box.  If you chose the race clothing in the “Choose an Option” box, indicate your size in this box.  If you did not order the optional clothing, then select “none” in this box.
  • Fill out all required fields as usual and remember to include your USAT number when prompted if you did not choose to purchase a USAT one-day license.  If you are not a USAT member, you will need to purchase the one-day license for multi-sport events.
  • Continue with your registration until credit card payment is complete.

Drive Directions: Access to Chiawana Park is from Road 88 only.

As you register, PLEASE pay careful attention when indicating your selection in the “Choose an Option” drop-down list. This is where you choose whether you want the optional clothing option or not. It is also where you select whether you need to purchase the USAT One Day Licenses. If you are USAT members you do not need to choose the One Day Licenses – be sure to provide your USAT member numbers where prompted below. If you are not USAT members, you MUST choose to purchase the One Day Licenses to do this race.
