Rock Your Socks Run

This is a run that celebrates Down Syndrome Day! It is a fundraiser for the DS Association in our area & all proceeds go to this organization. Ever since the race director, Raquel Sampson, had a child with DS, she wanted to create an event that would promote awareness, inclusion, acceptance & an opportunity to get individuals like her daughter the joy that comes from running & crossing a finish line. That’s what this run is all about! This run has a 1mile, 5k & 10k distances. It starts at Chiawana Park in Pasco & is an out & back course on the footpath. Each participant who finishes receives a pair of fun socks to wear on DS Day, a medal, post race snacks & other goodies. Register @ DSAMC.org .
