2013 Off Road TT Friends Event Schedule Oct 19 – Jump Off Joe Nov 2 – McGee Grade Nov 16- Finley Hills Nov 30 – Jump Off Joe Dec 7 – McGee Grade Dec 21 – Finley Hills   EVENT RULES *TT time is from 8-10am, there will be 6 events at 3 venues, those who complete 4 of the 6 events will be eligible for raffle drawing at the end of the training block. We will also have prizes for overall top 3 riders (times will be handicapped) *Each rider is required to record own time (can use strava) and email it to Aaron at aarons@taiweb.com *These are “friendly” training events. Each person participates at their own risk and are not associated with any person, group or organization. *Cost: There is no cost, the purpose is to get out climb some hills and if we are lucky ride in some snow. These are open to riders of all abilities and ride at own risk events. These Saturday events are just friends getting together and riding hard. So bring your friends, family and ride up some epic climbs. *All bikes are welcome as long as it pedal powered and has no motor *Course descriptions and results will be emailed *In the event of dangerous situations an email will be sent out to inform riders. Ride Guidelines

  • ·Downhill rider/hiker yields to uphill rider/hiker. 
  • ·Dirt roads and trails are not closed. Share the trail. Be Safe!  
  • ·Ride within your limits. It’s not the Olympics. Have fun. 
  • ·If you stop to help another person, see event promoter to discuss possibility of time adjustment. Good Samaritan rule in effect. 
  • ·Don’t pass or make up time while a rider in front is yielding to oncoming rider/hiker.
  *Jump off joe and Mcbee grade are climbing Time Trials. No Racing downhill. Directions to Events: Jump off joe: jump off joe directions: turn off 397 (locus grove) and park on Owens rd. TT start at the turn off on Owens road. End at the top at the towers on Jump off joe road. Finley Hills: From the Blue Bridge, take Columbia Drive Exit travel east on Columbia Drive for 2 miles to Gum Street. Turn right on Gum, which will change its name to Chemical Drive. Follow Chemical Drive past Sandvik Special Metals. Chemical then becomes Meals Road. Follow Meals for approx. 5 miles. Take a left on Ayers Road to the race site. Travel time from Blue Bridge, approx 22 minutes. TT about 60 min, course will be marked with flags. Mcbee Grade: Directions:  From Interstate 82, take the Benton City Exit (East of Prosser/West of the Tri-Cities). Go south on the road at the bottom of the off-ramp (Webber Canyon Road).  Go one-half mile south, turn right onto McBee Grade Road.  Go approximately 1/4 mile on the gravel road to parking area and trailhead with break in the fence on the left and a notice board at the trailhead. TT starts at fence and ends at the top, will be up the trail or on the dirt road.      ]]>
