38th Annual Tri-Cities Marathon - Full Marathon Option


26.2 miles on a USATF certified course.


TriCities Marathon is also one of the Washington half & full marathon series events. Go to for more details.

Chip Timing will be used for the Marathon.

Music headset & earbud friendly course.

Race day is  Sunday October 28th, 2018

Runners will assemble in the Shilo Inn parking lot at 7:45 a.m. for pre-race instructions. The Marathon starts at 8:00 a.m. The course will close at 1:00 PM.  Shilo Inn, Rivershore  50 Comstock St, Richland, WA 99352 

Early Start: Early starts are only available for individuals who need more time than 5 hours to complete the course.  You must contact the Race Director to arrange an early start.

Course: Flat and fast. The course takes you through the cities of Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco. You'll cross the Mighty Columbia River four times on 3 bridges, with the entire course run along the banks of the Mighty Columbia River.

Mile Markers: Every mile will be marked.

Restrooms: There will be restrooms at the start, finish, and at each relay transition point.


Aid Stations: Every 2 miles with an additional aid station at mile 25.  Water and sports drink offered at every aid station.

Weather: Temperatures are usually in the 40’s and 50’s. Sunshine, overcast, wind, or light showers are all possible.

Finish: The finish is at the Shilo Inn. The course will close at 1:00 p.m. The award ceremony will begin at about 1:15 p.m.

Lodging: The Shilo Inn has set aside a number of rooms at special rates. Per Shilo Inn Staff, this rate is the lowest possible rate available. Late Check-out is part of the special rate deal and is free to Runners. Please call: (509) 946-4661.

Marathon Awards: All Marathon Finishers receive a specially designed finisher's medal.

Individual Awards: For the first, second and third place Overall Male and Female finishers.

Age Group Awards: For the top three Male and Female finishers in each of the age groups.

Marathon Age Group Awards: Under 25, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Award Ceremony: The award ceremony will start at 1:15 p.m. and be held at the finish line area. Note: no shirts or awards will be mailed. Sorry, no exceptions.

Absolutely No Refunds for Registration Fees.  Please, please, please plan accordingly.

On-Line Registration is available until October 22nd (11pm) at no additional charge.


Registration Fee: $80.00 per individual & includes marathon shirt, if you register before October 14, 2017 (11:00pm).  $3 discount for 3RRR members.  Shirt order cutoff date is October 14, 2018 (11:00pm).

After October 14, 2018,  registration fee is $80.00 per individual and marathon shirt WILL NOT be included.

Due to the size of our event, it is just not feasible for us to have shirts for purchase on race day. If you do not register before ONLINE REGISTRATION SHIRT CUT OFF DATE you will not get a shirt - sorry!!  Please register before ONLINE SHIRT CUTOFF DATE!!


IN-PERSON REGISTRATION AVAILABLE AT PACKET PICKUP ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27th, 2018. There is no race day registration for the race. (Please contact the race director if you have any extenuating circumstances where you are unable to register by Saturday) In-person registration entry fees on packet pick up day are $85.00 per individual and marathon shirt WILL NOT be included.

All fees are non-refundable. Please, please, please plan accordingly.

Race Packet Pickup: Available at the Shilo Inn lobby from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 27th.  Limited packet pickup available on race morning starting at 6:30AM.

In consideration of your acceptance of this race entry, I for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, forever release and discharge any and all rights, demands, claims for damages and causes of suit or action known or unknown that I may have against the 3 Rivers Road Runners, the City of Richland, the City of Kennewick, and Benton County and any and all participating race sponsors and directors, officers, employees and agents of such parties, for any and all injuries in any manner arising or resulting from my participation in said race. I attest and verify that I have full knowledge of the risks involved in the race, that I assume those risks, that I will assume and pay my own medical and emergency expenses in the event of an accident, illness or other capacity, regardless of whether I have authorized such expenses, and that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in this race. All confirmed orders are final once payment is submitted. 3 Rivers Road Runners does not issue refunds.
