SUMMARY:Hermiston Resolution Run
DESCRIPTION:https://www.facebook.com/events/876059060602819?active_tab=about \nHermiston’s best free run/ walk is back! We’re ringing in 2024 on January 1st\, 10am @ Riverfront Park.\nAs usual\, you can walk\, jog\, or run the entire Oxbow Trail (about 3.1 miles)\, or choose a distance that suits you. Lots of people (especially with young kids) just do 1 – 2 miles. Pick whatever distance you want! There’s no aid stations on the course but you’ll find water at the finish line as well as some high fives and a photo booth. \nFAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)\nWho can participate in the Resolution Run?\n– The Resolution Run is open to everyone. The majority of people walk the Oxbow trail\, but there are lots of strollers\, dogs on leashes\, and kids on scooters. There’s even a group of local artists who are painting special rocks that will be hidden along the path for kids to find!\nHow much does it cost?\n– It’s free! This event is sponsored by local runners & walkers who want to encourage people to connect with their neighbors and meet their health & fitness goals in 2024. There’s no entry fee\, no registration required\, and we’re not taking donations for anything.\nCan I get a T-shirt this year?\n– Yes! A limited amount of T-shirts will be available for presale and whatever is left over will be for sale on the day of the event. We always sell out of these shirts\, so if you want one\, check back on the event page for details in the near future.\nGot more questions?\n– Send me a DM or email me @ timothybeal@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Richland RunFest Training Group
DESCRIPTION:We will all start our group sessions for the half marathon on Saturday mornings at 0645 from Wake Up Coffee (formerly Black Rock Coffee\, formerly Richland Roasters). October 7 will be our first group session and it will be an easy 3 mile run/walk.  Our 10k training starts the week of Oct 30. This year we will be adding a 5k training schedule that starts the week of Jan 15 \nThis is free\, free\, free. Start talking to your friends and family about this wonderful free experience. Now that Labor Day is upon us\, it is time to plan for Richland Runfest 2024 training. \n\nWe witness sunrises so beautiful it makes us cry.\nWe make wonderful friends.\nWe lose weight over the winter.\nIt doesn’t cost anything.\nWe learn how to complete a half marathon from nice experienced people. Nobody will yell at you. We guarantee it.\n\nWe will be repeating our Richland Runfest training sessions starting in October. This will be our 7th year hosting the Runfest training group. Our primary objective is to help beginning runners and walkers complete a half marathon in a safe nurturing environment. We welcome anyone. You don’t have to sign up for the race to join us. For those of you that are experienced we welcome you as well. We will make you faster. \n“The miracle isn’t that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start.” \nJohn Bingham \n  \nThe schedule is broken down into stages. \n\nWeeks 1 thru 6.
