DESCRIPTION:3RRR CLUB MEETING ON SATURDAY APRIL 9th AT KIONA WINERY!!! The meeting gets started at 1:00 pm\, but bring your mountain bike and/or your run gear for a workout before the meeting. April 9th is our first day of practice rides and runs for the Rage in the Sage Duathlon. For the ride\, meet in the lower parking lot at Kiona Winery at noon and we will get some miles in. Not a mountain biker? No worries…bring your run gear and you can get a nice run in on the dirt/gravel roads that run through the vineyards. Or just show up at 1:00 for the meeting. The club will pick up the wine tab. Please bring some sort of snacks (cheese & crackers\, fruit plate\, or whatever) to share with everyone. SUMMARY:Rock Your Socks Run
DESCRIPTION:This is a run that celebrates Down Syndrome Day! It is a fundraiser for the DS Association in our area & all proceeds go to this organization. Ever since the race director\, Raquel Sampson\, had a child with DS\, she wanted to create an event that would promote awareness\, inclusion\, acceptance & an opportunity to get individuals like her daughter the joy that comes from running & crossing a finish line. That’s what this run is all about! This run has a 1mile\, 5k & 10k distances. It starts at Chiawana Park in Pasco & is an out & back course on the footpath. Each participant who finishes receives a pair of fun socks to wear on DS Day\, a medal\, post race snacks & other goodies. Register @ DSAMC.org .
