DESCRIPTION:Come join us for (all paces) Summer Run Group! Whether you are doing a 5k or marathon you are welcome. Even if you aren’t running the race but are just looking to meet some new running friends\, you are welcome to join!\nWe will meet across from Sage Port Grille in the parking lot next to the Sacajawea Memorial. Richland\, WA\nRunners Soul will be sponsoring this run with an aid-station. Be sure to check out their store!\nYou’re free to run or walk more or less miles\nFAQ:\n“Can I still come even if I’m slow and/or doing run/walk intervals?” YES!\n“Is it free”? YES!!!\n“Do I need to register for the race”?\nNo\, but we’d love for you to!\n“Can I come and just walk some of it?” YES!!\nPlan to arrive at 5:45am for a pre-run chat\, group picture and do your warmup/stretches. TRIATHLON\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRace date is August 19\, 2023 \nFor 7-12 year old triathletes! \nPLACE\nHoward Amon Park\n900 George Washington Way\nRichland\, WA US 99352\nHey kids –> It’s your turn! Here is a chance to give triathlon a try. See if you’ve got what it takes to get to the finish line…we think you can do it. \nHey parents –> Here is a chance for your young athletes to try something a little different by putting a swim\, bike\, and run together in one event. We have designed a safe course with plenty of adult supervision that will be fun for the kids to challenge.  The 250-yard swim will be in the river in a shallow area near shore with plenty of boat and swimmer support. The 4.5-mile bike leg is all on a bike path\, except for a short portion in the boat ramp parking lot which will be heavily barricaded and controlled. Helmets are required and any bike in good working condition may be used. The 1-mile run will be completely on a foot path. \nCOVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: We will be following the guidelines from the Governor’s office to keep everyone safe and healthy before\, during\, and after the race.  This guidance may change between now and race day\, and we expect 100% compliance from all race participants\, parents and volunteers. We will email the safety precautions we plan to take just before race day. \nWhat: It’s a triathlon that starts with a swim\, goes directly into a bike\, and then finishes with the run. Once the starting gun goes off\, the action is non-stop and doesn’t end until the run is completed. \nWhere: Howard Amon Park\, Richland\, Washington. Look for the picnic shelter in the south end of the park\, on the river side of the Richland Community Center for race HQ. \nDay Before Race Schedule: You can pick up your race packet between 4:30 and 6:00 pm at the Reborn Bike Shop\, 1341 George Washington Way\, Richland\, WA 99354) \nRace Day Schedule: On race day\, arrive early and be prepared for the following:\n• 7:00 am – Packet pickup starts\n• 8:30 am – Mandatory pre-race meeting\n• 9:00 am – Race start\n• 11:00am – Course closes \nCost: $25 per triathlete\, which includes a race t-shirt and a one-day insurance license for the USA Triathlon Federation.  After August 8\, 2023 the cost goes up to $30 since we will be mailing you your shirt. \nTO REGISTER FOR THIS RACE GO TO Titanium Man Junior Triathlon (runsignup.com) \nUSAT: Your entry fee includes a one-day insurance license for the USA Triathlon Federation. . \nPre-Registration: The only way to guarantee a t-shirt on race day is to register on-line before the pre-registration deadline of August 8\, 2023. \nOn-line Registration Deadline: August 16\, 2023 and registration will close earlier if participant limit of 200 is reached. \nAwards: The overall boy and girl champion in the race receives a special award\, along with the top 3 boys and girls in the 7 -8\, 9-10\, and 11 -12 age groups.  You can check the Negative Split website on your phone at www.nsplit.com/results\, or look to the paper copies posted at the picnic shelter where you picked up your packet to see if you placed in your age group or were the overall winners of the race.  We will have the award ceremony as soon as possible after the race. \nTHERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION – THE ONLY WAY TO REGISTER IS ON-LINE BY THE DATES LISTED ABOVE.
