Spring into Summer 5 km and 1 miler

The TCCC Spring into Summer 5 km and 1 mile fun runs are coming up soon on April 22nd.  The 5 km course is flat and fast and is a good time trial to test your fitness level early in the season.  The 1 mile is FREE for kids 15 and under and the school or children’s organization with the most finishers in the mile (minimum of 25 finishers) will receive $250 for that school/organization.  So, a couple of good reasons to get signed up and get after it!

Results are at www.nomadzracing.com .  Also know that the top 5 elementary schools that will share in the $5000 pot of gold include (# of finishers): Cascade (258), Robinson (184), Cottonwood (157), Finley Elementary (150), and Orchard (145).  Congratulations to all those schools and all that ran in the Leprechaun Dash and St. Patrick’s Day Foot Race.

Schur and Buck win multi-sport series titles

Brian Schur and Marcy Buck are your 3 Rivers Multi-Sport Series champions for 2016.  A total of 18 men and 3 women qualified for placings in the multi-sport series by completing all 6 events in the series.  All of these multi-sport super heroes will be honored at an upcoming club meeting with a fine trophy to commemorate their season.  The top 5 finishers in the series for the men also included Paul Stiekema, Sid Wavrin, Ron Hayden, and Eric Greager.  The top 3 for the… [ more ]

Sign up for Columbia Crossing Swim race morning

You can still sign up for the Columbia Crossing Swim this Saturday, September 10th by showing up at the start area at the upstream end of Chiawana Park starting at 7:00 am.  Swim starts at 9:00 am and every penny of your $10 entry fee goes to help Columbia Basin Dive Rescue.

Plutonium Man Practice Swim and Ride

The Port of Benton has agreed to unlock the gate to the low dock barge slip that is the official start of the Plutonium Man Triathlon swim to allow us a practice swim.  This will be Saturday, August 27th.  Meet in the parking lot on the SE side of the WSU Tri-Cities campus (close to Sprout Rd) at 9:30 am to car pool up to the swim start.  As always, bring a floaty with you for safety and visibility to the boaters. Multi-Sport Series Mid-Season Report
