RESULTS: www.nomadzracing.com

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Here it is for the 10 km course:

  • Start on Columbia Park Trail in front of Kimo’s and go down into the park
  • About 0.75 miles in take a right onto the foot path at the Frisbee golf course
  • Follow the path behind the Kiwanis Bldg and take the foot path fork to the left at the Ropes Course
  • Cross Columbia Park Trail in the cross walk just upstream of the Ropes Course parking lot
  • Stay on the path on the river side of Columbia Park Trail until the turnaround across from the upstream end of the Columbia Park Golf Course – always stay on the path, never in the bike lane or road traffic lane, which means there are a couple of places where you follow the path away from the road towards the river and a couple spots where the foot path runs tangential to the road
  • After the turnaround, come back the same way you went out and finish in front of Kimo’s.

The 5 km course:

  • Starts the same as the 10 km to the point behind the Kiwanis Bldg
  • Rather than take the foot path to the left the 5 km course goes straight and runs around the duck pond
  • Turn left on the maintenance road that intersects with the foot path and then another left onto Columbia Park Trail
  • Turn left again on the foot path at the Ropes Course parking lot and retrace steps back to the start/finish at Kimo’s.

AGE GROUP AWARDS: Awards for 5 and 10km races in the following age groups: 15 and under; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 plus.

SORRY, NO STROLLERS OR DOGS, PLEASE:  Much of the course is on the narrow foot paths in Columbia Park and we cannot have the tripping hazards that strollers or dogs could cause.  Thanks for your cooperation.

RUNNING CLOTHING: A high quality, tech fabric short-sleeve shirt will be available for an extra $18 over the entry fee. Only a very limited number of shirts will be available for folks who register late, so if you want a t-shirt you should pre-register by March 2nd at 8:00 pm.  "Choose an Option" at the top of registration allows for selection of shirt/size.

PARKING: Parking is available in the Columbia Center North parking lot. Before the races, please stage in the Kimo’s parking lot.

RACE DIRECTOR: Eric Greager via e-mail at sageg@charter.net .

ENTRY FEE: The entry fee for running the 5km or 10km races is $12.00.  3RRR members get a $2 discount off this entry fee if they register online by the pre-registration deadline of March 2nd at 8:00 pm (carefully pick the correct price in the Choose an Option drop down box at the start of registration). Short-sleeved shirts cost an additional $18.00. After the March 2nd at 8:00 pm pre-registration deadline a late fee of $3 will be added to the entry fee.

And you will be glad to know your entry fee is going to a great cause...you will be helping set up a $5000 pot of gold (cash) that will be shared by every elementary school that has at least 100 finishers in the one-mile Leprechaun Dash, held just before the 5 and 10 km foot races.  This money will be used by the schools to help fund PE equipment and programs.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT DEADLINES: To be pre-registered all entries must be complete AND PAYMENTS MADE THROUGH ON-LINE REGISTRATION  by 8:00 pm on March 2, 2017.  Any shirt orders must be made by this pre-registration deadline.  On-line registration will still be available until March 7th.  Late registration in person will be available at the Richland Community Center on Friday, March 10th between 4:00 and 5:30 pm and again on race morning inside Kimo’s from 7:30 to 9:30 am.

AFTER MARCH 7 YOU CAN STILL REGISTER LATE IN PERSON ON FRIDAY, MARCH 10 AT THE RICHLAND COMMUNITY CENTER FROM 4:00 - 5:30 PM OR RACE MORNING INSIDE KIMO'S FROM 7:30 - 9:30 AM.  DO YOURSELF AND EVERYONE ELSE A FAVOR AND REGISTER ON TIME ONLINE OR LATE ON FRIDAY IF YOU MUST!!!

Any registration without payment will not be valid.
