RICHLAND RUN FEST - 1/2 Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 mile runs


Richland Run Fest - A Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 mile fun run. 

Website is currently under construction.  Please be patient and all the information will be finalized by September 1, 2017.  Until then this site is only preliminary.


  • Saturday,  February 24, 2018


  • The 1 mile fun run will begin at 8:30am and course closes at 8:55am.
  • The half marathon, 10K and 5 K will start at 9 am.
  • The race course closes for the half marathon, 10K, and 5K at 12:30 PM.


  • The start and finish for all the races will be by the Fingernail in Howard Amon Park in Richland, this is behind the Red Lion Hotel.

  • On the maps, click on each item to get an explanation of where that spot is on the race course.
  • On the maps the lines for the routes are different colors to differentiate which way the course is run, click on the parts of the route to get an explanation of the route also.


  • Online registration ends on Wednesday, February 21, at 8 PM.
  • The cut off for shirts to be included with your registration will be Sunday, February 19 at 5 PM. Any registration after that date/time will NOT include a race shirt so PLEASE get registered early.
  • There will be race registration at packet pickup on Friday evening and also the morning of the race at the Red Lion but remember, the registration will NOT include a shirt so please get your entries in before the shirt cut off.


  • The Half Marathon entry fee is $50.
  • The 10K entry fee is $35.
  • The 5K entry fee is $25.
  • The 1 mile fun run entry fee is $5.
  • There is a discounted registration fee if you are a current 3RRR club member.
  • Please pay with a Visa, Master Card, or Discover (sorry no American Express). Your registration is not complete until your credit card information has been entered and that is the last thing you do when registering.


  • The Red Lion (802 George Washington Way in Richland) is offering race participants a room rate of $99.00 (for up to 4 people).
  • You need to call 1-800 REDLION (733-5466) and identify yourself at part of the Richland Run Fest Block of Rooms.
  • You must register before 1/24/2018 to get this price on the rooms.


  • Friday, February 23, 2018 from 4-6:30pm at Runners Soul (5020 W. Clearwater Ave. in Kennewick).
  • Saturday, February 24, 2018 on race morning from 7:30-8:30am at the Red Lion (802 George Washington Way in Richland).

The 1 mile fun run

  • will begin at 8:30 am and all participants will need to be off the course by 9 am.
  • there will be a clock running but no official timing
  • There will be no awards for the 1 mile fun run.
  • Every registered participant will get a bib to wear and a finisher's ribbon and surprise
  • there purpose of the fun run is to encourage family members or friend to get out and move in a safe, fun environment, encouraged by our running community.
  • the timing is such that participants in the other races could run with their children or friends as a warm up to their races at 9 am (you don't need to register, but you won't get a bib or ribbon).

The half marathon, 10K and 5K will be chip timed.  The 1 mile is a fun run and will have a timing clock but no official time.

Aid stations are as follows:

  • On the half marathon they are approximately every two miles.
  • On the 10K race courses
  • On the 5K there is one aid station at the turnaround point.

Aid Stations will have the following nutrition:

  • Lemon-lime Gatorade will be at each aid station
  • Gels on the half

Finisher Awards will be as follows:

  • Every finisher for all races will receive a surprise gift for finishing.
  • Finisher medals will be presented to all Half Marathon race finishers.
  • ____ will be presented to all 10K finishers
  • ____will be presented to all 5K finishers
  • Ribbons will be presented to all 1 mile fun run participants.

Overall Awards for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K races will be as follows:

  • Top three male finishers in each race
  • Top three female finishers in each race.

Age Group Awards for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K races will be as follows:

  • Awards to the top three male finisher and top three female finishers in each age group.
  • There will be 5 year age groups (14 and under; 15-19; 20-24, 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+).
  • There will be an awards tent located near the finish line where you can check your results and pick up your award after you finish your race.
  • Awards will not be mailed so please stop by the Awards Tent to check and see if you won an award


  • All race results will be posted on line shortly after the race at


  • PLEASE consider having your friends or family members volunteer for the race.  The Volunteers may your race experience that much better.
