RICHLAND RUN FEST - 1/2 Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 mile runs


Richland Run Fest - A Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 mile fun run. 

Website is currently under construction.  Please be patient and all the information will be finalized by September 1, 2017.  Until then this site is only preliminary.


  • Saturday,  February 24, 2018


  • The 1 mile fun run will begin at 8:30am and course closes at 8:55am.
  • The half marathon, 10K and 5 K will start at 9 am.
  • The race course closes for the half marathon, 10K, and 5K at 12:30 PM.


  • The start and finish for all the races will be by the Fingernail in Howard Amon Park in Richland, this is behind the Red Lion Hotel.

  • On the maps, click on each item to get an explanation of where that spot is on the race course.
  • On the maps the lines for the routes are different colors to differentiate which way the course is run, click on the parts of the route to get an explanation of the route also.


  • Online registration ends on Wednesday, February 21, at 8 PM.
  • The cut off for shirts will be Sunday, February 19 at 5 PM. Any registration after that date/time will NOT be able to order a race shirt so PLEASE get registered early.
  • There will be race registration allowed at packet pickup on Friday evening and also the morning of the race at the Red Lion from 7:30-8:30 am.


  • The Half Marathon entry fee is $40.
  • The 10K entry fee is $25.
  • The 5K entry fee is $25.
  • The 1 mile fun run entry fee is $5.
  • There is a discounted registration fee if you are a current 3RRR club member: $3 for the half marathon, $2 for the 10K/5K races, and there is no discount for the fun run.
  • Optional Clothing option will be an additional $20
  • Please pay with a Visa, Master Card, or Discover (sorry no American Express). Your registration is not complete until your credit card information has been entered and that is the last thing you do when registering.


  • The Red Lion (802 George Washington Way in Richland) is offering race participants a room rate of $99.00 (for up to 4 people).
  • You need to call 1-800 REDLION (733-5466) and identify yourself at part of the Richland Run Fest Block of Rooms.
  • You must register before 1/24/2018 to get this price on the rooms.


  • Friday, February 23, 2018 from 4-6:30pm at Runners Soul (5020 W. Clearwater Ave. in Kennewick).
  • Saturday, February 24, 2018 on race morning from 7:30-8:30am at the Red Lion (802 George Washington Way in Richland).


  • Will begin at 8:30 am and all participants will need to be off the course by 8:55 am.
  • There will be a clock running but no official timing.
  • There will be no awards for the 1 mile fun run.
  • Every registered participant will get a bib to wear and a finisher's surprise.
  • The purpose of the fun run is to encourage family members or friend to get out and move in a safe, fun environment, encouraged by our running community.
  • The timing is such that participants in the other races could run with their children or friends as a warm up to their races at 9 am (you don't need to register).


  • Will be chip time both start and finish.
  • Every Finisher will receive a finisher medal.
  • There will be an additional surprise gift for finishing.
  • There will be aid stations about every 2 miles (see course map) with lemon-lime gatorade, water, and gels at the the 3rd aid station (which is also the 4th aid station).

THE 10K and 5K

  • Will be chip time both start and finish.
  • There will be an additional surprise gift for finishing.
  • There will be 2 aid stations on the 10K (see course map, same station you pass is right after mile 2 and right before mile 4) with lemon-lime gatorade and water.
  • There will be 1 aid station right before the turn around on the 5K (see course map).


  • OVERALL top three female finishers in each race (half marathon, 10K and 5K)
  • OVERALL top three male finishers in each race (half marathon, 10K and 5K)
  • Age Group Awards to the top three female finishers and top three male finishers in each age group in each race.
  • There will be 5 year age groups (14 and under; 15-19; 20-24, 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+).
  • There will be an awards tent located near the finish line where you can check your results and pick up your award after you finish your race.
  • Awards will not be mailed so please stop by the Awards Tent to check and see if you won an award


  • All race results will be posted on line shortly after the race at


  • PLEASE consider having your friends or family members volunteer for the race.  The Volunteers may your race experience that much better.
